With regard to the Title 38 of the United States Code, we also comply with one of the Veterans Benefits which are Non-Service Connected Pension with “Aid & Attendance”.
So what is this aid and attendance pension benefit?
This is a tax-free benefit distributed to eligible and honorably discharged veterans or their surviving spouses.
The requirement eligible for this program are the following:
- The veteran must have served at least 90 consecutive days of active duty, at least one day during a period of war. Active combat is not a requirement.
- Honorable discharge
- They must require the need for assistance with activities of daily living. This includes personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance. It is not required to meet all the assistance needs.
- Monthly income and asset requirements.
- There is no minimum wage requirement for this benefit.

- Bathing and Showering
- Ambulation
- Grooming
- Feeding
- Dressing
- Toileting
